Steam Scream V is on until Nov 2. Spooky games crowd the store this week, so the quieter weeks after it are worth a look.

Alerts & briefings

How do I get alerts when a rival changes something?

Alerts are switched on for every game you add. Fine-tune what you hear about, and how, on the Alerts page.

You already have them. When you add a game, we switch on alerts for all its rivals: release dates, prices, trailers, art, builds and more.

To change them:

  1. Open Alerts.
  2. Switch a rule on or off, choose Right away or In the briefing, and tick email, Discord / Slack or both.
  3. Click Save. To add a new rule, use Add an alert below.

Alerts need a confirmed email address, so check that first if nothing arrives.

What each plan gets: Free collects everything in a weekly email briefing. Indie and Studio add instant alerts, a daily briefing and Discord and Slack. Studio can also set alerts for a single rival.

Tip: slower signals such as follower jumps and new games in your busiest weeks start in the briefing, so your inbox stays calm.
