There is no magic day, but there is a sensible one: a day your team can be fully there for the days that follow.
- Plan for the days after. Launch brings bug reports, reviews and questions. Launching early in your working week leaves time to answer them before the weekend.
- Avoid launching right before you are away. A holiday or a trade show is a bad time for your first patch to be urgent.
- See what games like yours did. Comparable launches shows the most common launch weekday among the games most like yours.
- Pick the week first. A calm week gives your game room on the store for days. Your Release Radar shows the quiet ones.
Whatever day you choose, be online when your game goes live, so you can welcome your first players and fix anything that comes up.
