I lost my phone. How do I get into my account?

Enter one of your recovery codes instead of the 6-digit code when you sign in, then set up your new phone.

Use one of your recovery codes. You got ten of them when you turned on two-step verification.

  1. Sign in as usual.
  2. When we ask for your code, enter a recovery code instead.
  3. Open Security and set things up again on your new phone.

Each recovery code works once. Running low? Click Make new codes under Security. Your old codes stop working and you get a fresh set.

No recovery codes left? Contact us from the email address on your account and we will help you get back in.

Tip: many authenticator apps can back up your codes to the cloud, so a new phone picks them up straight away.
