Paste the requester's Steam profile link into the Key Request Checker. In seconds you get one of three answers:
- Looks like a real player: the account has the history of someone who really plays.
- Worth a closer look: some things do not add up. Ask for a link to their channel or curator page.
- Looks like a key reseller: the hallmarks of throwaway accounts that collect free keys to sell.
We only read what Steam shows anyone on the profile: account age, Steam level, games owned and played, friends, any bans, and, if you add your game, whether they own games like yours. The person is never told you checked.
Tip: a private profile is not always bad. Ask them to make it public for a moment, or to write from the email on their channel.
