What the sale means for your launch
During a seasonal sale the Steam store fills up with discounts on games players already know, and their attention goes to deals. A brand-new game has to compete with all of that, which is why many developers keep their launch out of the big sale weeks and launch a little before or after instead.
Already released? A sale is a good moment to put your game on discount and reach players who were waiting for a lower price.
